Post by Pitchfire »

Where can I get Stuart Turner 6a Castings? Are they still available?

They're not on the Stuart website so, unless you can find some hobby shop that has a back room full of old Stuart kits, you're out of luck.

I have e-mailed Stuart on this matter as they are still listed in the "spares section" I will post a reply should I receive one.

Thanks, I have the blueprints reprinted in "Steamboats and Modern Steam Launches, July/August 1961," but obviously castings would make the job much easier.

Folks,
Stuart's have informed me that the 6A castings are "out of stock" and that they will be available again in about three months.

Stuart Turner has been sold to the Bridport Foundry in Dorset. They cast the Plastow traction engine
range of models. Very nice people to deal with.
