With alot of help from this forum i have my first working steam engine and boiler, now onto the boat, i'll need more help with the boat stay tuned for more questions.

Congratulations John. What a nice machine you have setup, and the first running is always very enjoyable. In my view, building the engine/boiler/steam plant is 75% of the work, building the boat is only 25% of the process, so you are well on your way to steaming on the water.

Thanks Fred, your input was great help. I followed most of your recomendation to build a safe plant.

That first toot on steam is special. When I first sounded the whistle in my yard I discovered several retired neighbors I hadn't known about!
