Good looking boiler/engine for sale on Ebay
Currently (Nov 20th, 2011) there's a pretty fine looking boiler/engine for sale as item #360403478060 from Sammamish, Washington. Does anyone on this list know the builder? What a cool project!

I guess I don't get it. What does it do? The boiler seems large for the engine and I don't see what you would hook up to the engine. I see a feedwater pump (I think) but no way to bypass excess flow. Weird science. Are those two safety valves in parallel? Would that work? I must think about all of this.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.

Mike asked: What does it do?
My guess is that this was a cool project and maybe nothing more. On the other hand it could be used as a demonstration type display showing some uses of steam, ie. run a generator or pump, or any number of power tools such as a saw, corn sheller or apple peeler. This combo unit would be right at home at any number of events from antique tractor get-togethers to new car dealership open houses. I think it's really great and wish I had the time to build one myself.
