I just received my (self-bought) Father's Day gift a bit early. My copy of "Steamboats and Modern Steam Launches" just arrived in the mail today. I've finished reading through the introduction and am eagerly digging further into it. It's really a treasure of a book.
If you haven't bought a copy yet, Do so. Even if you never read it (which would be a tragedy in it's own right) it's such a classically beautiful hard-bound book that it's worth having, even just sitting on a shelf. Although I suspect that my copy is soon to be worn and dog-eared from reading.
Well, my eyes are too tired and dry to read any more and I need sleep. Off to bed, and dreams of steam. G-night!

Re: Early Present
And Bill Durham is still alive and active in the steam community in Seattle.
