Elliott Bay 2

A special section just for steam engines and boilers, as without these you may as well fit a sail.

Looks like every machine in the shop is in use! Are you going into mass production or something? Maybe I can come out and apprentice! I'm pretty good at sweeping floors etc. I've just finished pouring the new foundation for my new shop as we are downsizing and Mother wants a smaller house and I want a bigger shop! We use logs off our property and cut them into lumber This takes longer but I know all the trees by name so it gives the place more personality! ;) Keep up the good work and maybe you could "you tube" machining lessons [I mean John is giving casting lessons, you could give machining-all we need is a few more boat building articles and we can build a boat on line  Den

Hi Simon, very impressive, such a major piece of work. Is there a boat in mind for this one?
Speaking of which - now you have the vehicle, when are you getting the boat!?

When I have finished the "other" vehicle, which I can not only tow a boat with more easily but also sleep in. Its also large enough to carry 40 bags of coal :D

The second engine is for a boat being restored (not by me) and is called Williamette.
although I do have a THIRD set of castings if anyone out there needs a triple expansion engine?
It could be a long wait as this is on a very far back burner. although for the right money......

Did anyone ever discover who/where Willamette was built?

Regards to you and your dad Jack. I wouldn't be able to keep my fingers from fiddling with it either. A beautiful work.
