Well, here we go. i hope this goes well, i'll learn on the fly. End caps are almost done, I dont have a pic yet. But here's the drums, rough cut end caps, tie rods with finished nuts, and nuts before cutting the hex.

what kind of material are the nuts made from?

I think/hope this will work for my tube expanding, especially in the 4" mud drums.

I'm using a 1/4" drive air rachet and purchsed a 1/4" driven long socket, cut it before the hex starts so the square will fit over the wicksteed expander.

I am set to start on one of Mr King's Yarrow's when the winter comes around (hull wood working right now....
It will be nice to have someone "blazing the trail" - please keep us informed!

What size tubing are you using and who are you using for a supplier? Is it 90/10 or 70/30 alloy?
