Maid of the Loch
Third trip to Scotland for work this year, went to Lake Lomond, west of Glasgow. Maid of the Loch, built 1953, 191 feet long paddle steamer, being restored.

Ahh yes! I had a couple of trips up Loch Lomond on her myself, back in the late 1950s, and then a walk up the Ben from Rowadennan, with a drink at the spring about three-quarters of the way up.
I take it the main thing holding up the restoration is lack of the 'usual'?

LAKE Lomond???
Run for cover before Caledonian hordes take your scalp for anglicising the name! Yes, The saga of the Maid is one of long and hard effort with few funds. I'm afraid that marine conservation and restoration does not get much attention or funding in Scotland.
