Sourcing Information

A special section just for steam engines and boilers, as without these you may as well fit a sail.

Sourcing Information

Post by JonRiley56 »

Hi,

I could really use some help on sourcing information for my steamboat build. I have spent a fair amount of time hunting for sources on the web but the results are very scattered.

If anyone could point to good sources for the following I would be grateful:

1. a piston type water pump (to be run via an eccentric) that will pump 1gpm or more at 300 rpm
2. a 12V Air/Condensate pump that will move approximately 0.5 gpm
3. a 12V water pump that can pump at least 1 gpm against 150psi (to be used as a back up boiler feed pump)
4. a pressure relief valve that will blow at 140 psi with a suitable "open time" to match a ~ 30 square ft water tube boiler

Thanks

jon
