I've finally found the pictures for the Windermere Steamboat Rally 2004:

Always enjoy your photos Simon even though it appears steamin' is going to the dogs :lol: which are pretty nice looking dogs-I might add! What's the story on the launch Splijn -It that dual exhausts? Also there is a blue engine pictured which appears to be a side by side rather than fore and aft. any info on that? Keep up the good work Den

Splijn has 1 boiler very much offset so the guy put a fake funnel on the other side to make it look even.

I can't see any boat with a sideways mounted engine though.
I've got the vehicle, just need the boat.

This is "Puffa" which has a "non dead centre engine. two pistons side by side with a triangular conn rod and only one crankpin, very cunning. Large ones were built for marine & mill use in the UK.
Also for launches in the U.S.A. by G.E. Whitney.
