Her name is "Carol Ann" (named after his wife) and she is Owned by Gary Smith of California

She is powered by a compound that was also used in the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. I believe a picture of which can be found in "The Steam Launch"

Her boiler is of the olfeldt persuasion.

He still has her and just ran her at the annual Great Sacramento River Delta Steamboat Meet last September.

Here are some more pictures I found on Ranier's site:

I believe I have video of her I need to put on Youtube as well.

Mary Lou was the boat (skiff) at the bottom of the dry lake bed that Tom had been in when he was leaving. the other guy chased him down in the steam boat launch and shot him and maybe the shot went in the boat to make it sink as well. kinda unclear how the boat wound up at the bottom of the lake from just watching the movie. i don't think they ever show the name of the steamboat like they do the other one in the actual movie, which they do a few times.

but the upside down Mary Lou is where Zero is found by the other boy later in the movie. as well as another scene which has the lady that lets the lizard bite her arm.
