Here is a bottle engine that I started modeling last year.
Some of you guys have seen this already.

My intent is to use this cylinder on several different engines including a marine twin.

Valve is a balanced "D".

Eccentric and strap.

Upper cylinder head. (Inside will have a recess at the passage entry to the cylinder, but it does not show up in the model yet).

Piston.

The cores will look like this (bore is 3" dia.).

Cylinder patterns will be something like this.
(This is actually half of the model, and the patterns have to be made by adding core prints, closing up bolt holes, adding draft angle and machining tolerances, etc, but you get the idea).
