Okay, when you run the whistle pipe up the stack what exactly do i do? Just stick the copper tube up the inside of the stack and drill a hole in the side at an angle and stick the tube out? The other end will stick out the hood to the side and hook up to the valve. Do i need to seal the hole on the stack? If so what do i seal it with?

You shouldn't have to seal it. The stack is going to have a natural draft and should be pulling air in around any clearance around the copper tube. Obviously keep the hole tight to the tubing. Drill the hole the same size as the tube and then rat-tail file it oblong for the S-shaped tubing bends.

My only concern would be that the pipe should be secured in such a way that it can't vibrate and chafe a hole in the pipe
