Hi Noel,

Welcome to the Forum.

I've just ordered a set of No 5 plans, should be here any day now. Could be interesting to compare notes later.

Hi All,
Just working out how this forum works and just realizing I have been asked some questions, I live in Timaru South Canterbury South Island, I got interested in steam boats after visiting The Nelson Lakes Classic Boat Show so got on the internet Found the Ray Hasbrouck site and ordered the plans for the No 5 and they are excellent plans and instructions took around 350 hours [10 months] to build. I have a Emco Maximat 11 lathe with mill attachment and a Seig SX3 mill all the machining was done on them. I have had the engine running for 4 hours on steam supplied from a Traction Engine at our Traction Engine Society club day I am now hoping to build a boiler and a big ? a boat, or might just build a Elliot Bay Triple or the Camden AA Leak for something to do.

Noel.
