Hi All,

I am Mickey Sadler in Dublin, Ohio. I am a retired computer tech who has been interested in steam, boats, trains, cars and believe it or not aircraft.

I to not have a steamer of any kind yet, but there is always hope. :D I am mostly interested in sternwheelers and have thought about building a small, trailerable sternwheeler, but so far it is just a thought. ;)

Mickey,

Welcome to the forum.

Here is a pic of a trailerable sternwheeler that was at the Hastings, Michigan meet last summer. It happens around July.

The boat has a steel hull and running a VFT and vertical single.

Reliable Steam Engine is in the process of designing a trailerable, steam powered sternwheel with a 20' hull (designed for steel or plywood) drawing 6" water with a 4' diameter wheel and long, slow stroke, horizontal engines. Tommy Thompson's concept of Katy is the basis.
