Hi All,
Have been lurking for awhile, so thought I'd better introduce myself. I'm Daniel, aged 29 from Warkworth, New Zealand. Have been involved with steamboats now for over 14 years, starting out as the "apprentice" to one of New Zealand's most well known steamboat men. Since then i've worked on most of the Auckland area fleet of steamboats, big and small. Everything from short harbour and river runs to long distance coastal passages. I've subsequently gone back to my roots and bought the steamboat I started on, the 1903 S.S. Zeltic Image

Look forward to lots of future discussions on here.
Thanks,
Daniel

Welcome Dan,

That is a nice looking boat and similar to what I'm piecing together.

Welcome Daniel

You have a lovely little vessel there. Though looking again she is not all that "little"!

It is nice to see more young folk joining us "wrinklies". Hope you will keep us from turning into Grumpy Old Men  (There is a TV show of that name in the UK where people are given air time to rant about the state of the world...).

Best wishes

Pete

Thanks for the welcome guys, and glad there are other younger people involved in the hobby. The boat is small when its in the water, when you want to go away on it, and when you are doing a coastal passage. When its time to paint her, do maintenance etc she's big!
