Anything happening in the Lake District (UK) on Sept 11/12?

Hi.

I'll be visiting the UK for a conference in Glasgow and plan on spending the Weekend of Sept 11 and 12 around the Lake District. I wondered if there was any steamboat related stuff happening that weekend. The Steamboat Museum is closed now, I think. Is Gondola still running on Coniston? - I last went on her about 20 years ago -she was newly refurbished then.

Cheers

Paul,
Give me a ring when you are in UK, we could perhaps have a run out on Grayling, my numbers in the SBA book. Yes the museum is closed but I know the bloke there. Gondola is running ok.
would be nice to meet up
Jack

Dear Jack

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to show me around your workshop and also for the steam on Lake Windermere. Your hospitality was very much appreciated. Steaming on Windermere (and a pint at the pub in the sun) will be treasured memories. Thank your wife for the lovely lunch.

Cheers

Paul :D

Hi Paul

I hope we didn't put you off too much.

I was unable to be on the lake this last weekend, however it was nice to meet you at my workshop.

Simon

Paul,

No problem it was great to see you, we would be pleased to see anyone in the lakes area as we don't get too many visitors.

best regards
Jack
