Now that the UK has had its election and is still sorting out who is going to be the next person in various hot seats, the flow of interesting political leaks has dried up. So to fill the void, here is an SBA Committee leak that might be of interest to our UK readership:

BOILER SEMINAR
Saturday 20th November 2010

The one day seminar will be of interest to both boiler owners & those with an interest in building a boiler. Specialists will make a presentation followed by a question & answer session. A panel of SBA Services Inspectors will answer questions from the audience.

Topics will include :
a) Design aspects of boilers for small steamboats.
b) Making boilers for small steamboats.
c) Inspection of boilers used in small steamboats.
d) Boiler failures & how to prevent them.
e) SBA Services Boiler Inspection Scheme, its Purpose, Operation & Requirements

I went to the last one that had a slightly different focus and found it most useful. I also met a load of nice folk and boiler inspectors. No, I mean they were all nice folk and some of them were also boiler inspectors! Anyway, thought you might like to hear about this.
