What is this bow apron push bumper called seen draped across the stem, and where would one be available?

Not sure if they have any special name . I'd call it a bow fender ; in the UK they're fairly common on canal narrow boats and can be bought at most chandlers which cater for inland waterways .

I know that there aren't many narrowboats (are there any ? ) in North America but I think tugs and other workboats also use them.

I searched that and it turned up quite a few makers here in the states. "Bow fender" or "Rope fender".

Here in the Pacific NW of the USA, they're also called a "bow pud" (short for "bow pudding") and I see that Google also lists them that way.
