Steamboat scale models by Bob Kirtley (with Flash Steam boilers)

Some have asked about the racing of small scaled down steam plants.

Below are the youtube links for a 3 part video on flash steam boiler base steamboats, small enough to pick up. The video of the model steamboats was shot in 1995.

Some of these models are somewhat manual steam plants, the video shows some of these models being launched at targets across a very small body of water and folks on the otherside grab them and turn them around and launch them back to where they came from. Other models are tethered and go around in circles at very high speed.
