Hello from Herreshoff Marine Museum!
My name is Don Berrett and I am involved with the construction of HMCo #199 which we plan to put on display to show the true installation of a 1898 Triple Expansion engine that the museum has on display.

Here is the blog with some information on it:
https://herreshoffsteam.wordpress.com/

I have been in contact with Chris McMullen who is offering a lot of help with the mechanical install. We are trying to find a proper Marsh pump and Chris may have one that we can use. Also I need help with the plumbing and general installation.

So any help would be appreciated and please visit my blog!

Chris has been good enough to provide HMM with a Marsh pump of the correct vintage!

But we are missing the air pump section so the hunt continues!

We can at least begin to lay out ideas on how to build the plumbing!

This looks like an amazing project! Have you been in contact with the people restoring the Herreshoff launch "Vapor"?

Don,
You are confusing two different boats. Chris is building his replica. Vapor is an original Herreshoff Boat being restored. Chris copied the pumps etc from Vapor for his build, ad they were the only bits on the vessel not made by Herreshoff, and so no drawings existed.
