timing the Stuart 6A ??
I made a new shifting shaft for the 6A. Is there a written procedure for setting the shifting arms relative to one another on the shaft. Should these be pinned. The old ones were set-screwed. That didn't withstand the shifting forces. I have the 6A drawings but there are no assembly/timing notes.

The cranks are 90 out on the 6A. If they were 180, forward and reverse would be the same. 90 out means forward and reverse are 90 one direction but 270 in the other direction. Since the small cylinder must/should expand first, there is a definite forward/best rotation. How can the primary expansion wait 270 degrees for the secondary expansion?
