Wanted
A. A. Leak Building a Marine Compound Engine [Camden Steam].
I am in the very early stages of building the engine but it would make my life a lot simpler if I could obtain the manual that is currently is out of print.
Sept 2015 - Delighted to have eventually obtained the manual.

Hi there,
You may not be aware that the "book" was reprinted from a construction series in the "Model Engineering Magazine" entitled " A Compound Marine Engine" by A. A. Leak.
To give you some idea when the articles were written..
Part 1 article, last page was pg 476 ( not sure of the magazine #).
Part 2 was in 19-30 Nov 1982 Magazine # 3693 (page 599).
Part 10 was in 15-31 Jul 1983 Magazine # 3709 (page 84).
(The Model Engineering Magazine page numbers restart at the beginning of each "financial" year- hence 2nd edition (3709) into the financial yr- page 84 for part 10).
I'm not sure about the other articles, nor how many their were- maybe some one else here can help you.
An update on the engine build sometime would be interesting
Martin

Hello Boaty Pete,
I saw your 'wanted' ad quite late, as I don't often look at the forum as much as I probably should!
I am currently in the latter stages of building a Leak engine, and have a manual that I have a;most finished with. Are you still looking for a copy?

If still around, I am also interested in a copy, as we have one of the large Leek engine (4.5+7.5x4) in emilyanne and have yet to see the book.
