There are all sorts of processor solutions starting 30+ years ago with the KIM-1. The storage and analysis issue can be side tracked completely by limiting the outputs to snap shots. The snap shot can be a one time thing that you capture with a key stroke and store for a later print out and/or publication or a succession of snap shots that are displayed and then thrown away, AKA a video or panel display in real time.
Jut now I can't think of a need that I would have for collecting a days worth of information.
