Don't think any apologies are necessary. Russ Ward in New Zealand has been a wooden boat owner/builder/restorer(?) for MANY years and has owned several steamboats. He also works on sailboats. I know of at least one steamboater in the Pacific NW of the USA who has an auxiliary steam outboard on his sailboat (he also likes sailing). He cautions sail/steam aficiandos to stay "upwind" from the steamers when sailing.
