on the off chance it might help, I live within 25 minutes easy drive of the Harwich ferry port, and have plenty of secure parking space for a vehicle & boat - along with spare bedrooms etc.

Just for the sake of completeness Daniel. In fact under a change to the model side of UK boiler testing, if you wanted to run your Mamod in public you WOULD need to have a cert. Now all small gauges must also be able to prove safe construction. Somewhat of an extra load on club testers.

I've gone up from one testable boiler, to six! (none Mamods)

AFAIK is was in the last update, along with the written schemes etc. A lot of G scale (45mm G) and 16mm (32mm G) clubs now insist on certs before a run is allowed.
