Ron, I'll bet you will eventually put in a condenser for just these sort of problems. It will cut your boiler and piping crud buildup problems way, way down. Maybe if you were steaming on Lake Tahoe or Crater Lake you might get away with it. And even then you don't have very good control of your pH.
