action type

A special section just for steam engines and boilers, as without these you may as well fit a sail.

The Semple engine is double acting, and matches various similar small vertical inverted double acting engines made throughout the late 19th century. A slip eccentric is generally used for reversing, although some have been converted to other valve gears. What other information are you looking for?

Fred Semple has been dead for quite a few years now but last time I talked with Mary his widow she had told me they still have "some" parts and documents like prints and such, no complete engines or boilers. Also I have heard that his son has started making some stuff on the side but I will not bank on that. depending what you need I could try to see if she has the info.

Any info on the 5 HP single cylinder would be wonderful. What I don't know would fill this whole forum.
