Re: Steaming to London
Hasty can carry 2000kg at a pinch but if I get stuck I'll buy some fuel from the coal boats on the trip, she's equipped with a good steam lance so I can burn some quite dirty fuel if there isn't any alternative

This should take about 20 da...

Steam boat insurance
Does anybody have any ideas about steam boat insurance other than the two companies that advertise in the "Funnel" because I haven't had much success with them, one quoted silly money and the other has gone on holiday for a week. Do I have to have specialised steam boat insurance or will o...

Re: Picture of my boat
Oops, I should have put this in the "Members Websites and Boats" section, Sorry. I have to confess Den that I was behind the camera and the boatbuilder is the one doing all the work. It takes some pretty extensive facilities and experiance to build a hull like this one and I certainly have...

Picture of my boat
I've been working on this project for about six years now and to tell you the truth I was always only 95% sure anything would come out of it but after my last visit to the people building my hull I am now re-enthused. I ave attached a picture and am thinking about doing a bit of a write up for the S...

Re: What gaskets if any
Thanks for all your advice, I have looked it up here in the UK and come up with this NEVERSEEZ REGULAR NS160 1LB FLAT TOP CAN (MEETS MIL-A-907, PWA 36053-2.) The spelling is a bit different but would you say this is the right stuff?
