Re: engine castings
In my opinion, a most easy way to directly post a picture, I think it needs to be in a file size under 100k, but most of my boat/machinery postings look OK when saved on my picture software at this low resolution.
If you want to directly post a picture on this forum without any hosting, you scroll down to the "Upload attachment" section, "Choose File", add a caption if you wish, then "Add the file". You can preview your post to see how it looks, and resample it to a smaller physical size if it is too big for the computer monitor. Finally click "Submit", and there it is.

Re: engine castings
Those are nice looking castings. Hope you can track them down. Any idea on make and dimensions?

Hi folks,
jack knows what the picture shows, he want to know "Who is the new owner?". This question is addressed to members from U.K.

you probably know that Cheffins are primarily agricultural dealers, and their auction house also primarily deals with tractors and implements etc. What you may not know is that they are still a family run company, and keep extensive records of sales. There may be some legal reason why they cannot pass the buyer's name on to you, but otherwise I would have expected the senior people in the company to be sympathetic to your search - I doubt you'd get much positive response from the auction clerks - they're a pretty busy lot, not to say harassed.
I still work in Cambridge fairly regularly, and could call in on Cheffins if it would help.
I hope the weather in Crackenthorpe is better than here in Suffolk this spring.

Dick
