Lune Valley boiler now finished .... phew

A special section just for steam engines and boilers, as without these you may as well fit a sail.

Lune Valley boiler now finished .... phew

Post by ianrichards » Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:40 am

Other than painting, fitting and fettling, the boiler is now completed.
Work can now commence in earnest on the boat building itself.
I’ll miss the engineering work though and with the guidance of forum members the task was not as daunting as I first thought.
Thanks to all
Ian

Hi Ian,

fine work.

Can you show some more details of the boiler and some technical data?

Heavy !
No idea of the weight yet, but will find out when I start to fit the mountings.
Thanks for your guidance during the construction.
