Tule Princess packed and headed south.

Post by Mfoxchicago » Tue Jul 15, 2014 1:13 am

The last, large scale Walking Beam Side-wheel Paddle Steamer - Tule Princess- is finally loaded and ready for her 1450 mile transport to San Angelo, Texas for re-launching on Lake Nasworthy. This is the realization of a dream that began back in April 2013 and has finally come to be. Keep an eye out for our website coming real soon.

http://www.tuleprincess.com

We look forward to welcoming fellow steamboaters aboard or sharing our beautiful little lake with anyone coming down to steam along side her.

Move details to come.

PS - would like to have attached pictures, but this site doesn't allow any pics of a size larger than 128k...??? That's darn near impossible to do anymore. Suggestions.

For reducing the size of picture files, many photo software programs allow you to "re-sample" making the picture smaller. Also a screen capture program, such as the Windows "Sniping Tool" will take a snapshot of your picture while it is up on your monitor. These snapshots are small file size, but have resolution that is just fine for the forum.

That's great news Mack!

You can also use a third party host like Photobucket.com

Be aware that you cannot post more than 3 pictures per post though.

Hey Wesley & Fellow Captains,
TULE PRINCESS finally arrives safe and sound this evening around 8pm CST. 1466 miles journey and no real problems until the last 60 miles from the finish line. Hauler's front drive axle's spider gear gave out and he was dead in the water at the side of the road. Luckily, my brother's best friend knew exactly who to call on a Sunday afternoon and within 3 hours, we had a big ass Tow truck on site, hitched up and headed down the road. She finally pulled in about 7 hours behind schedule, but here in Texas FINALLY. She up right, level and ready for refit work to begin. Updates coming soon!
