That is a really nice engine, I've been ogling it off and on all weekend. I'll bet that took some talking to get. I'd love to have it. It's about right for a 30-40 footer.

Yes,it took a few years to pry it loose from the last owner,but in the end he sold it for a very reasonable price.My son and I have it all taken apart to clean off 100 years of grunge,plugged up oil holes,etc.All in all it is in very good condition,not much wear at all.The valve gear has no play at all in pins and bushings.It is too big,really to be practical for me at the present time,but I just had to have it! I will tale some photos of the internals soon. Mike

Thanks for the pics, Mike.

The feed & air pumps arrangement is very compact and the whole engine is very compact indeed! Nevertheless, it's quite a big engine that deserves a sizeable hull.

Going together,much cleaning,chasing out oil holes etc.Pump drive worm looks like it belongs in a gravel truck.
