I don't think there is any bar on which SBA region you want to affiliate to, so more than one is probably fine.

Hi Nick
In the SBA members section of the website there is a prime and second area you can link too. If you want there is nothing to stop you from contacting the areas reps of the other areas to get on any mailing lists or event lists they may keep.

Thanks Mikes, both

Having looked in the SBA members area it would seem my postcode is classed as West Midlands. I have made W Midlands my main region, with Wales secondary. Reversing the original order. An email is on its way to Stephen Milns.

Hi Nick

A belated welcome from Wildest Cheshire.

Given that you have an engine, you may want a guide to building the boat, etc. In that case you may enjoy the series in Steamboating Magazine by Chris Doughty on the building of 'Maid of Scrap'. The relevant back issues are available from the Editor, Ron Fossum, another esteemed member of the Forum, so you can make contact by PM.

The only down side is the Brexit Premium which makes the cost in Dollars a bit more than one would wish. However it is our hobby and it will still cost you less than a night out in London so it is worth the price.

Regards

Pete
