registration process

Post by Midship » Sun Aug 21, 2011 12:11 pm

Hello

a friend of mine from Sweden is trying to register to the forum, hereafter see what he write to me
" I have tried to register but at the end of the registration form there is a strange question which I must answer. I do not understand this question. Given x = 4, work out x square .... Do you know what they mean with work out??? The answer is not 8 as far as I understand."
The answer seems not to be 16 neither, could you tell me what kind of computation should be done?
After I think we will be able to do it ;)
I do not remember to have this question when I registered
Best regards

Yes i Had this same problem as well. The question was if I remember correctly, What is 4 Squared.
As I took applied maths at college ( Naval Architecture) i was most put out to be told i had input the wrong answer :? . I posted on the SBA forum and I then received a email saying I had been accepted. :D

I'm no great mathamatician, but I'm sure that the question could be worded better. I tried writing the answer and got refused. Had I got the answer wrong??? So I tried the others and got locked out. I had the answer right.........just it wanted numbers.!?!?!?!
