Both of the above books are still in print and published by Elliott Bay Steam Launch at http://www.steam%20launch.com

 Maybe in the future list the publisher, if known?

Good idea Ron...

Here's another, also available from Elliot bay:

Steam Yachts, Trawlers & Launches
by Thomas Reed & Co., Publishers, 1904
http://www.steamlaunch.com/books/reed.html

Also any Audel'sengineering book pertaining to steam, usually available from Amazon.com or in used book stores.

I would thoroughly recommend any steamboater to have a look at the following , available through the Publications link on the SBA web site :

STEAMBOATING GUIDE
A selection of technical articles from twenty years of THE FUNNEL.
Great insight based on practical experience.
Edited by Trefor Milns & Sam Wilkinson.
Published 1992 by the Calvert Technical Press in association with the SBA.
Special end-of-run price £2-50 plus P&P.

The second edition is now available and is even better .

All of the publications from Calvert Technical Press are interesting (they are the publishers of the Steamboating Guide)

The Sand Pebbles, by Richard McKenna is a great winter read..

You can also pick up the Hollywood adaptation of the same title, starring one large marine triple expansion (now in the cargo hold of the USS Lane Victory) and co-starring Steve Mcqueen. :D

Camden Miniature Steam Services .

Not a book but a source of books . I give the URL for the home page rather than the section which refers specifically to marine books because it really is worth browsing through most of their offerings.

Some online links to useful reading material

http://www.kimmelsteam.com/steamlibrary.html

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/index.html

These are my favourites weighty Victorian tomes (they are sizable downloads).
